Methodology was founded in 2017 by Pat Moore with the idea of supporting the community of snowboarding through various local initiatives.

Through the support of Methodology’s sponsors and resort partners, the local communities of resorts including Sierra at Tahoe in California, Gunstock in New Hampshire, Sevens Springs in Pennsylvania, Trollhaugen in Wisconsin, Loon Mountain in New Hampshire, and Brighton Resort in Utah, have benefited through their respective events’ fundraising efforts. Since 2017, Methodology events have raised money towards foundations and projects such as Bijou Skate Park in South Lake Tahoe, Chill Foundation, YES Kids Boston (Youth Enrichment Services) / Operation SnowSports program, Osceola Skatepark in Wisconsin, STOKED org serving underserved youth, donation to the Caldor Fire Sierra Employee Fund / Sierra Education Foundation, Caldor Fire Victims Fund / El Dorado Community Foundation, the Lin-Wood Skate Park in New Hampshire, avalanche education through the UAC (Utah Avalanche Center), and a donation to the Revert Foundation.

Methodology has evolved into a movement of its own and as a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit, furthering the ability and effort of the mission. As a public charity, Methodology will continue its work towards fostering the involvement of snowboarding to the youth and the disadvantaged.
